Sarah Swenson is pleased and grateful to have received her certification in the Pilates Method from Rael Isacowitz and Body Arts and Science International. She is also indebted to the Master Kathy Grant in New York for her original instruction in the method, beginning in 1987. While living in New York, Sarah taught for many years at the Alvin Ailey School, performed with the Alvin Ailey Special Performance Group, and was the Rehearsal Director for the Alvin Ailey Student Performance Group. Sarah is currently a freelance choreographer and performance coach, and conducts residencies and performance workshops in her own repertoire and in the Lester Horton technique. She also teaches ballet floor-barre and Contact Improvisation. Sarah received her MFA in Performance and Choreography from CSU Long Beach in 2000, and has taught at Loyola Marymount University, Cerritos College, Orange County High School for the Arts, and was Chair of Theatre, Music & Dance at Missouri Valley College.
