Maria Ines was born and educated in Chile. As a Registered Nurse, she owned and operated her own business providing service to Home Health Care and Nursing Home Environments.

During those years she developed an interest in the many facets of body and mind work, practicing dance, meditation, Tai Chi, and Pilates. In 1998, Maria came to the United States to pursue a career as a Pilates teacher. She was trained by Rael Isacowitz in the
Body Arts and Science International (BASI) Certification program in 1999. Since then, Maria has been an instructor at On Center Pilates, the headquarters of BASI, in Costa Mesa, Orange County, CA.

She is thrilled for the opportunity to work with Rael, and still have him as a mentor. Pursuing and continue education, Maria is always taking workshops with master teachers from all over the world. Her background as a nurse allows her to work with a wide spectrum of clients. Because her experience and knowledge, her base clientele includes a large number of Pilates instructors and Pilates students. In 2007, she become part of BASI Faculty.

Certified as a specialist in Pilates, BASI 1999.
Certified as a specialist Pre and Post Pregnancy.
Member of PMA and IDEA.
