Maura has a dance degree from the University of California, Irvine. She is a graduate of the Body Arts and Science International Pilates Teacher Training course. Her background includes yoga and weight training as well as pilates, ballet, ballroom dance, salsa, and Argentine tango.

Maura earned her Pilates teacher certification with Body Arts and Science International in 2004 and has been teaching Pilates at the BASI headquarters in Costa Mesa ever since. Maura enjoyed the honor of assisting Rael Isacowitz during several BASI Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training Courses. She is known for her positive attitude and patience in helping clients to achieve their goals.
